Hi everyone! I am back with another card made with Altenew’s Build-A-Garden: Happy Blossoms set. It is such a pretty stamp set, and it is so easy to make pretty cards with it. This card is based on card designs made previously (see here and here), but it came about because my sister asked me to create some cards without a sentiment that could be used for any occasion.

Changing the Colours

One of my favourite ways to get more from a design is to switch up the colour palette. For this card, I used Cotton Candy (Catherine Pooler), Sunflower (Lawn Fawn) and Freshly Cut Grass (Lawn Fawn) for the flowers and leaves. I think it is a beautiful colour combination. I paired it with a green-toned patterned paper from the Bitsy Blooms paper pack from Lawn Fawn.

No Sentiment, More Flexibility

Due to a request from my sister, I didn’t include a sentiment on this card. Truthfully, it was SO difficult to leave off the sentiment; however, it can make it so much more versatile as it can be used for almost any occasion, or no occasion at all. If you are someone who also feels like you NEED to include a sentiment, you could always add one later when you know the reason you are using the card. By not including a sentiment, it is easy to build up a stash of ready-to-go cards.

Here’s the card…

This is definitely one of those layouts I’ll keep coming back to. It’s easy to recreate, works beautifully with different colour combinations, and is perfect for batch creating.

If you’re ever stuck for ideas, try reusing a design you already love and changing the colours. You might be surprised how different each card feels.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!
