Hi everyone! One of my goals for Stampers Workshop has been to share not only new products (because who doesn’t love new things!), but also older, and possibly retired, stamps. I can’t be the only crafter sitting on a pile of stamps that I love, but that haven’t seen ink in quite some time!
The Lawn Fawn Here We Go A-Waddling stamp set has been in my stash since it was first released in 2017, and I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been used since. I thought it was about time to get it out and give these cute little penguins another outing!
I started by stamping all the elements I thought I might use for the cards. I did, however, originally colour all the Santa hats red, but decided to go with a softer colour palette. So, I re-stamped and coloured them all again. The things we crafters do!
Next, I added a piece of snowy paper from the (now retired) Lawn Fawn Snow Days paper pack to a card base. I used the Stitched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape to create the snowy ground and simply snipped off the top of the frame.
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the card base. Now, I’m not sure I’d do that again if I were to recreate this card. I think stamping it onto a separate piece of cardstock might make it a little more visible.
The card was finished off with… you guessed it, some Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.
Here’s the card…

If you are a crafter who tends to favour newer supplies, I hope this encourages you to dig into your stash and make a card using some of your older supplies. You may rediscover a few favourites!
Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!
