Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a couple of fun birthday cards featuring the Crazy Dogs stamps, along with the Crazy Things and Crazy Sayings stamps from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous. I totally love these stamps! I really should use them more often. When I first pulled these stamps out to use, I had visions of creating something very “Tim Holtz” inspired. You know the look… lots of vintage browns, distressed details, and grungy layers. Somehow, though, I seem to have wandered straight back into my own little niche instead! In fact, I ended up CASEing (Copy And Share Everything) cards I had made previously (which you can see here and here).
To create this card, you will need a stamping platform, because you need to stamp the dog and party hat twice, so you can cut one out to make the dog’s head wobble. I stamped the dog, masked the head, and then stamped the party hat. I did this twice for each card. Next, I stamped the balloon, masked the base, and then stamped the string. I stamped a duplicate of the balloon because I wanted to pop it up with foam adhesive.
Colouring the images
The Crazy Dogs images are so much fun to colour. Their expressions crack me up every time, and they are perfect for humorous birthday cards. I even tried colouring one of the dogs to look a little bit like Lexi. If you are giving the card to someone you know who has a dog, you could personalise the card by colouring it to match their dog.
Assembling the card
My favourite thing about this card, aside from the actual images and sentiment, is the addition of the Action Wobble to the dog’s head. It totally makes me laugh. The card itself was simple to assemble. I die-cut the main focal panel and adhered it to coloured cardstock, before layering it on the card base to which I had adhered patterned paper from the Reason to Smile paper pack by Shimelle (for American Crafts). The sentiment was stamped in Versamark before being white heat-embossed. I trimmed it to size and adhered it directly to the card. The final touch was some Wink of Stella, of course.

Here’s the Wibble Wobble…
I had to show you just how cute the wibble wobble of the dog’s head is on these cards. It’s so fun! It is also a reminder to get the Action Wobbles out more often. I love that interactive feature.
Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!
