Hi, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our January 2023 Blog Hop is a Sketch Challenge. For this challenge, we needed to make a project based on the sketch below
Here’s the Challenge…
I thought this sketch would lend itself nicely to using the Legendary Rider bundle. I love that Stampin’ Up® has come out with such a fun set which is great for masculine cards (but of course could still be used for the females in our lives). I started by stamping the motorcycle in Tuxedo Black ink. As I wanted to get a really crisp, solid black image, I used the Stamparatus to stamp it so that I could re-ink as required. I ended up stamping it three times before I was happy with the coverage. I then die-cut this image and put it aside.
Next, I took another panel of Basic White cardstock and die cut it using the Stitched Rectangle dies. With a Blending Brush, I added a soft layer of Pumpkin Pie ink. I also stamped some of the spanners in Versamark on this background but you cannot see this in the photograph below. I stamped the flame stamp with Pumpkin Pie so that it matched the rest of the card.
I used Basic Black cardstock to create my card base. I then added a piece of patterned paper from the Ready to Ride 12×12 Designer Series Paper pack. The centre piece is also from this paper pack. I popped up the stitched panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and then popped up the motorcycle and flame pieces.
For the sentiment, I masked “you are” and then stamped the Legendary in Versarmark in before white heat-embossing it. I then cleaned the stamp, masked the “Legendary” and stamped the “you are” before white heat-embossing it. I then trimmed both pieces to size. These were attached directly to the card.
I thought the card needed a little more so I added some Wink of Stella to the bike and then added a few of the Adhesive Backed Studs and that was my card complete.
Here’s the card…
Let’s continue on the hop…
