Hi everyone, some of my most favourite cards to make are those which include a cute critter or two. As soon as I saw the This Birthday Piggy stamp set it went on my wish list. The stamp set features three adorable pigs and lots of sweet sentiments. As I am always in need of birthday cards, this stamp set seemed like the perfect set to use today.
I actually created two cards at the same time as I was playing around with colour combinations. The process was the same for both. I stamped the pig in Tuxedo Black Memento on Basic White cardstock and then coloured it in using Stampin’ Blends. Next, I die cut the image using a die from the Scalloped Contours die set.
A sentiment from the This Birthday Piggy stamp set was stamped in Versamark on Crumb Cake cardstock before white heat-embossing. I then trimmed it to size.
To assemble the card, I created a card base and then stamped a different sentiment from This Birthday Piggy randomly over the card base. I used ink that was the same colour as the cardstock but I stamped off once before stamping on the card. Once this was done, I assembled the card. I added some Wink of Stella to the cake, balloon and the pig. The card was finished with a few of the new Adhesive Backed Seasonal Sequins.

Here’s the second card…
Isn’t this little piggy the cutest?! Of course, the stamp set has another two pig stamps that are equally cute! The hardest choice about using this stamp set is which piggy to colour first. Which one would you have chosen?
