Hi everyone! Welcome to the StampingPals Challenge for June 2021. This month we have a theme challenge. We have been challenged to create a Sympathy card. It’s also a pretty sad time as this will be our last StampingPals challenge for now. It’s time to have a break! Okay, let’s get into it…
Here’s the Challenge…
Sympathy cards would have to be my least favourite type of card to make and so I rarely make them. They are, however, sadly needed from time to time. I think it is so much easier to make a card before you need them. I have some friends who look at having Sympathy cards in their stash as a sort of insurance policy – they won’t need them if they already have one. I like this idea!
Here’s the card…
I chose to use a flower stamp from the Forever Blossoms stamp set and a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set to create my card. I chose a more subdued colour, in the form of Soft Succulent, for the overall appearance. I didn’t want the card to be all flat though so used Polished Pink and Pale Papaya to colour in the flowers. To me, these pops of colour symbolise life and hope.
We do hope you will play along with our final challenge. All the details, and the Link up, is on the StampingPals blog. We also want to thank each and everyone of you who have supported us since we began our challenges. Thank you!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
