Same Card, Slightly Different (Again)

by Kylie

Hi everyone! After making my last card, a friend asked if I could make another one for her. If I’m not set up to make multiples at the same time (like I do with Christmas cards), I can never quite make them exactly the same. I was fortunate I still had all my supplies out, and keeping the same setup made it easy to stay in a creative rhythm and turn around another card without overthinking the process.

A Small Change in Supplies

One change to the card was unavoidable, as I didn’t have the same patterned paper I originally used for the Giant Hooray sentiment. Since the paper I used for the original card is now retired, I shopped my stash and found something similar, but different. It still works beautifully and keeps the same playful feel, even though it’s not an exact copy. It’s a good reminder that “duplicate” doesn’t have to mean identical.

Another change is that this card includes a white border, created using the Riverside Backdrop from Lawn Fawn. I had to trim the inside parts out to create the frame. I love this look!

Here’s the card…

Recreating this card was a lot of fun, especially being able to tweak it slightly while still working from the same base idea. I already know I’ll be making this card again down the track, and no doubt it will be a little different again.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you all have an amazing day!
