Challenge #1

by Kylie

Hi everyone, after my friend Lorraine suggested a challenge to help those of struggling with missing mojo, we came up with Challenge #1. We were going to make two (2) cards. One of the cards was to be suitable for an adult male and one for a boy. We could any colours but needed to focus on shades of blue. We could also use any stamp sets you would like. We could use the same stamp set for both cards or use different stamp sets – whatever we liked. We could dig into our stash or use new products. The goal was simply to get us to create!

Challenge #1…

Here’s the first card – for an Adult…

For the card suitable for an adult, I used the You’re Retro stamp set from Penny Black. I love this set and haven’t used it in forever. I thought it would be a fun card to give to someone who liked vehicles and that had a sense of humour about their age.

Here’s the second card – for a boy…

For my second card, I used the new Racing By stamp set from Stampin’ Up!®. It took me a while to get this card made and part way through I thought I was never going to get it done – it just wasn’t coming together. I think I had too much white space. After adding the clouds (from the Plane and Simple Lawn Cuts from Lawn Fawn). Now that it is finished, I actually really love it!

This was such a great challenge! It literally challenged me but I am so glad I pushed through as I am happy with the cards and it felt really good to create!

If you’ve decided to play along with us, please pop on over to the Stampers Workshop Facebook Page and share your creation. The post to upload your cards to has been pinned to the top of the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie
