Hi everyone, sometimes when looking through the various catalogues I see amazing 3D projects and I think how good they would look if converted to a card design.
Today’s card is one I’ve CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) of a 3D project from page 18 of the January to June 2021 Mini Catalogue. The original project is a super pretty box. All I have done is take the design from this box and added it to a card front.
The card uses products from the gorgeous Hydrangea Hill Suite. I started by fussy cutting some of the gorgeous hydrangeas from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper. Next up I die cut a background piece (also from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper) to anchor the project together. I also added a strip of the Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate just under the patterned paper. This comes in a few different colours but I used the reverse, silver side. It’s so pretty! I really want to use this Acetate again. I added the Gorgeous Grape ribbon to tie it all together.
The sentiment is from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set. It was stamped in Misty Moonlight on Seaside Spray Cardstock. I then die cut this using a die from the coordinating Hydrangea die set.
The final touch was to adhere all the floral elements and add some of the Gorgeous Grape Pastel Pearls.
Here’s the card…
It’s a super pretty card, isn’t it? It looked great as a decoration on a gift box but also looks so good as a regular card. So next time you find a 3D project you are inspired by, consider taking this design and adapting it to be a card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
