Hi everyone, Stampin’ Up!® recently updated their Clearance Rack and I was delighted to see more of the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper there. I *love* this paper and immediately purchased it! I couldn’t wait to start creating with it. Over the next few blog posts, I am going to share some “similar, but different” cards featuring this paper.
For this card, I started by colouring in the flowers on one of the sheets of paper with the Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I then fussy-cut the flower and put it aside.
The card base was created with Thick Basic White cardstock and I layered another piece of the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper on top.
Using my favourite die from the Scalloped Contours die set, I die-cut a piece of Vellum as I needed something soft to break up the background pattern before applying the flowers. It was adhered to the card front with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
Next, I stamped the sentiment, from the Color & Contour stamp set, with Versamark and then white heat-embossed it. I fussy-cut around the sentiment.
All that was left was to adhere it all to the card front. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals and popped up everything. I then added some shimmer with the Close to My Heart Clear Shimmer Brush (this is my favourite shimmer brush). The final touch was to add some bling in the form of the Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels.
Here’s the card…
I had so much fun making this card. This paper remains one of my favourites so I was thrilled to see it available, albeit briefly, again. I’m so happy with the card but..I did have a few other ideas so check back to see how I changed it up.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great day!
