Hi, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our November 2022 Blog Hop is a Sketch Challenge. For this challenge, we needed to make a project based on the sketch below.
Here’s the Challenge…
When I first saw this sketch, I thought it was going to be so easy to create a card. I was wrong! The card I am sharing is actually my second attempt. I ended up using the gorgeous Rays of Light stamp with the Charming Sentiments bundle.
I started by inking up the entire base of the Rays of Light stamp with Daffodil Delight ink. I thought it might be nice to move from the centre to the end with Pumpkin Pie ink and then Poppy Parade ink. I applied these ink with Sponge Daubers. I spritzed the ink with water and stamped it on a panel of Basic White cardstock. To be honest, the image doesn’t really look like I had pictured it in my mind but I figure nobody but me, and now you, will know that. After stamping the image, I trimmed the piece down to the size I wanted so as to match the sketch. I then picked out the rest of my colours. The card base is Poppy Parade, my second layer is Basic White and the strip along the centre is Daffodil Delight.
I chose to use the Charming Sentiments stamp set for the greeting. I stamped it in Versamark on Poppy Parade cardstock before white heat-embossing. I then die cut it using the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes dies. Before adhering it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card, I added a length of gold trim.
I thought the card needed something else so added a few Champagne rhinstones.
Here’s the card…
