Hi, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our January 2022 Blog Hop is Anything Goes. We could create any type of project we wanted to.
Here’s the Challenge…
Here’s the card…
I couldn’t wait to start on this challenge as I really wanted to use the Mischievous Mice stamp set again. Have you seen it? It’s one of the Host sets. There are three different mice stamps in this set and all of them are super cute! I chose to use the one with its head peeking out of the cheese. Isn’t it adorable?
The mouse was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I used Light and Dark Daffodil Delight as well as Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie. These same colours were used to colour the circles (die cut from the Picture This die) you can see popping out from under the focal panel. For the mouse, I used Light and Dark Crumb Cake and Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. When the colouring was complete I added some Wink of Stella before fussy cutting the image.
Next, I created a card base from Pool Party cardstock and then stamped that same mouse stamp in Versamark randomly over the background to give it a little more interest.
Using the Stitched Rectangle dies, I die cut a panel from Basic Black cardstock and then layered a piece of patterned paper from the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper pack. (TIP: I find the easiest way to do this is to use the same die to cut the patterned paper and then trim it just on the inside of the stitched line. No measuring required!) I picked this design of paper as I thought it might look a little like the mouse was sitting on the floor. I tied a length of Black & White Bakers Twine (from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack) around this panel.
The sentiment, also from the Mischievous Mice stamp set, was stamped in Versamark on Basic Black cardstock and then White heat embossed. I used the Picture This die to die cut it since it was already on my craft desk.
All that was left to do was to assemble the pieces and finish it off with some Clear dots from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials pack.
And that’s my card for today. Thanks for taking a look.
Let’s continue on the hop…
