Hi everyone, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our June 2021 Blog Hop is a colour challenge. We were asked to create a card using Basic Black, Basic White plus one more colour of our own choosing.
Here’s the Challenge…
Here’s the card…
When I saw this challenge, I had so many ideas. I thought about white embossing an image on a black cardstock base and then attaching another image on top. I thought about having a white textured cardstock base and then a floral image on the top. Another idea was to add a wash of colour on white cardstock and then stamp an image over the top.
It was then that I decided to think outside of my usual box. I used the Basic Borders dies to create a really fun background. As it was quite busy, I really didn’t need much more to finish off the card. A strip of vellum was added to ground the sentiment which was die cut from the Playful Alphabet dies. The final touch was a die-cut flower (from the Pierced Blooms dies) and some Matte Black Dots.
Let’s continue on the hop…
You might have come here from Nikki Stalker’s blog. Next up, please hop along to Sharon Wilson’s blog. Here’s a list of all the participants:
