Hi everyone, as soon as I saw the North Pole Mischief stamp set it jumped onto my wishlist. I loved the cute little puppy and the grumpy wrapped-up kitten. It was such a darling image! Of course, the other image in the set is equally as cute, but the puppy stole my heart. I couldn’t wait to use it and today was the day. I’ve created a relatively simple card featuring this gorgeous image.
I started by stamping the image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock. I then coloured it in using Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Pool Party and the Colour Lifter Stampin’ Blends. Next, I die cut it out using the Stitched Rectangles die.
The Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper had a lovely pattern in Balmy Blue which matched my present so I cut a panel out and matted it on a Balmy Blue card base. The sentiment, also from the North Pole Mischief stamp set, was stamped in Versamark on Smoky Slate cardstock. I white heat-embossed it before die-cutting it with the Stylish Shapes dies.
I popped up my focal panel on the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added Wink of Stella to the ribbon and a few stars to complete the card.
Here’s the card…
Isn’t that puppy the cutest and quite cheeky to boot?! It was a surprisingly easy image to colour so if you don’t like colouring all that much the North Pole Mischief stamp set might be one for you. You could leave the cat and the dog uncoloured if you wanted. Are you thinking about Christmas cards now or is it too early for you?
