Hi everyone, welcome to our Creative Prompt for July 2022. I’d love for you to join in and play along.
How to join in…
I’ve created a thread on my Stampers Workshop Facebook page (it is pinned to the top of the page so you can always find it). I’d like to invite anyone who wants to share their take on the challenge to do so in the comments section of that post. You don’t need your own blog, just upload a photograph of your card directly into the comments. Please upload photographs only. Do not link to other blogs or websites. Regrettably, these will be removed. Watermarked photographs are permitted. My hope is that these Creative Prompts will inspire and challenge us all to create. I also hope that by sharing we can comment, support and encourage each other. I do hope you’ll join me.
Here’s the Creative Prompt…
Have you ever played Tic Tac Toe? For this Creative Prompt, all you need to do is to create pick a line from the Tic Tac Toe board – whether you go across, down or diagonally – and use all three elements to create your project.
I decided to use the Circle | Bling | Animal/Bird column for my card.
I started my card by creating a card base from Pool Party cardstock. Next, I layered a piece of patterned paper from the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper pack. From another piece of paper from this same paper pack, I fussy cut out two of the deers. Aren’t they sweet?! I did add some Wink of Stella to the pieces to create a little more of a shimmery look for the card. I also used the Sentiment Silhouette dies to die cut some hearts from this same paper. Of course, I had to add Wink of Stella to them as well.
While the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine was out, I used the Stylish Shapes dies to die cut the largest stitched circle. I sponged on some Pool Party ink with a Blending Brush. At the base of my circle, I used the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. I wanted to create a snowy ground for the deer.
For the sentiment, I used the ‘Warm Wishes’ stamp from the Kindest Gnomes stamp set. I stamped it in Versamark on Poppy Parade cardstock before white heat embossing it. I trimmed it to size.
Next, it was just a matter of adhering everything down using a combination of Seal and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Once everything was adhered, I felt it was missing something so I added a few of the Calypso Coral Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems to the card.
Here’s the card…
I really love how this card turned out. Those deer are delightful and I think, with a different background paper and sentiment, you could make this a Valentine’s Day, or Anniversary style of card. So fun!
If you are inspired by this Creative Prompt please pop over to my Facebook page and share your card in the comment thread. I’ve pinned the prompt at the top of the page so it is easy to find. I respectfully ask that you only post a picture of your card and do not link to external sites. The reason for this is that I can’t monitor the links and ensure they are all suitable for all audiences. Watermarked photos are, of course, permitted.
I hope you will play along. I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
