Hi everyone, sometimes when I order a stamp set and/or bundle, all of my ideas centre around just part of the set. As I was looking at the Cottage Rose Bundle, I realised that I’ve made quite a few cards with the main floral image but I haven’t made anything with the rest of the set. I was at a bit of a loss as to where to start – some days are like that, aren’t they? I turned to the catalogue and remembered why I loved the set so much. To kickstart the mojo, I decided to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) the card from page 56 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. I’m so grateful for the talented artists who inspire us with their creations on every page.
To start the card I created a card base from Crumb Cake cardstock. Next, I layered a panel of patterned paper from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper pack. I cut a panel of Basic White cardstock to the size of a card front and then die cut the largest of the dies from the Cottage Flowers die set. I then trimmed this panel down so it was the size I wanted for my card.
Next, I took the coordinating patterned paper, also from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper pack and position the die-cut panel over it. With my Paper Snips, I cut out the patterned paper. I added some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of my Basic White panel and then positioned it on top of the patterned paper. You could also pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals if you wanted. I trimmed off any pieces of patterned paper which were sticking out. I then popped this panel up on my card front.
For the sentiment, I stamped the greeting from the Cottage Rose stamp set on some Petal Pink cardstock and trimmed it to size. I layered it on some of the Natural Finish Ribbon which I pulled the ends so that they were fringed. So pretty!
To finish the card I added some Elegant Faceted Gems in Petal Pink.
Oh, and yes, the sentiment is crooked on purpose. I had it straight, then I angled it, then straightened, and finally left it on the angle. I’m still not sure though…what would you do?
Here’s the card…
This is such a pretty card! I really enjoyed making it and am looking forward to making a few more to have in my stash.
