Hi everyone, today is the last day to purchase from the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue! I’m so sad to see so many fabulous items retiring including the sweet, and aptly named, Cactus Cuties bundle which I am using for my card today. Now, if you have this on your list, I would normally recommend you purchase the bundle as it is discounted by 10% off the full price. However, these products are currently generously discounted as part of the Last Chance Products promotion and it is WAY cheaper to purchase them individually. The stamp set is currently $15.00 and the punch is $15.50 bringing the total price to $30.50 for the pair, versus $54.75 for the bundle. That’s a massive saving!
I started by creating a card base from Polished Pink cardstock. Next, I layered a piece of patterned paper from the Abstract Beauty 4×6 Designer Series Paper pack. It’s such a pretty paper pack and it is also discounted at this time. I then die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes dies and positioned it so that it hung a little over the edge of the card front. I trimmed off the overhanging piece.
Next, I stamped up all my elements. I stamped the cactus components in Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam. The pots were stamped in Sahara Sand and Pool Party. Now, my recommendation here is to position everything where you want them to go BEFORE you stick them down. I rarely follow my own advice though and adhered the first two pots down. It was then I realised my planned third pot was going to look a little weird and make the card look unbalanced. So I simply improvised. I trimmed down one of the pots, and cut apart one of the extra cacti pieces, and made it fit instead!
The sentiment I stamped in Versamark on some Daffodil Delight cardstock. I then white heat-embossed it before die cutting it with a die from the Stylish Shapes die set. Yes, this die set is fast becoming a favourite!
To finish the card, I added some Wink of Stella to part of the pots, and placed a few of the Faux Sea Glass Shapes at the bottom of the pots.

This was a fun card to make and I really wish both the Abstract Beauty 4×6 Designer Series Paper and the Cactus Cuties bundle weren’t retiring. I really didn’t give either enough love. Of course, they are staying in my stash because I think they are lovely!
