Hi everyone, a week or so ago I shared a card CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from fellow Demonstrator Maheswari Rajaguru. It was stunning! When making the original card, I actually messed up the spacing of the patterned paper so put it aside and started again. I was looking at it today and realised that although the spacing was strange, I could still use it but I would just need to be a little more creative.
To create the card, take a sheet of Gray Granite cardstock and create a card base. Take another panel of Gray Granite cardstock (cut to 10cm x 14.4cm) and emboss with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere this panel to the card base. Next, cut a sheet of Basic White cardstock to 12.9cm x 9cm. Choose four patterns from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and cut each one to 3 cm x 8.7cm. Adhere these pieces to your Basic White cardstock panel and attach this to your cardstock base. I started by adhering the two end pieces and so when I stuck the third piece down I had a much larger white gap. It was not evenly spaced. To combat this I rotated the card to be portrait instead of landscape. I then added some white twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack to cover this gap. Now, no one knows I messed up. All that is left is to finish the card.
Stamp, in Basic Gray ink, the floral images from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and die cut. I added a light wash of Wink of Stella to these flowers to give them a little more sparkle. Position them on the card and pop up the main image for a little extra dimension.
Stamp the sentiment in Versamark on Basic Gray cardstock and emboss with White Embossing Powder. Die-cut this sentiment using a die from the Ornate Frames die set. Pop this up on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, add a few clear dots from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials pack.

Don’t ever think that just because you have ‘messed up’ that the card isn’t salvageable. You might need to sit on it for a few days before you take action. In the end, I was able to create another pretty card from a mistake!
