Happy Birthday (Timeless Tulips)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, OnStage took place in various locations around the world last weekend.  I was scheduled to attend the Perth event however due to a series of unfortunate events I was unable to do so.  I was very blessed as my friend, and upline, Melissa Gifford collected my goodies from the event and posted them to me.  OnStage is a Stampin’ Up! hosted event which brings together demonstrators from around the world.  We meet to catch up, network, share creative and business ideas.  The event also sees the launch of the newest catalogues and products and those in attendance actually get to order these goodies before everyone else.  It is such a fun perk!

One of my goodies was a new stamp set called Timeless Tulips.  It will be available to everyone from 3 January 2020 and from Demonstrators next month (so if you are keen to get all the new goodies before everyone else, consider signing as a Demonstrator).   I couldn’t wait to start creating with this stamp set.  It is a Distinktive style of stamp which means it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step.  It’s really effective!

I really wanted to create a multi-coloured tulip so I first inked the flower with Mango Melody.  I then used a sponge dauber to apply a coat of Poppy Parade ink to the edges of the stamp.  I then stamped the image.  I LOVE the effect!  It looks so pretty.  I cannot wait to experiment with other colour combinations.

The rest of the card design was inspired by a card in the new catalogue (which you will LOVE)!

Here’s the Card…

There is also a coordinating punch for this set which punches out the large tulip flower and one of the leaves.  This set is so versatile.  I’ve seen people create fairies, ghosts and even an octopus with the stamps and punches.  It’s going to be a very popular set!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie

I was doing alright until I saw that tulip stamp. Now I’ve got the itch to shop…specifically for a certain tulip stamp! This is gorgeous! Love how you’ve used it, and that gingham…does anything say Spring more than that?! Gorgeous card, darling friend. But then, I love all (yes, every single one) of your cards! Sending hugs. xoxoxo

Should I say “I’m sorry” or “You’re welcome”? haha It is so pretty! I didn’t think I was going to love it as much as I do. I cannot wait to try some more colour combinations! Thanks heaps for the sweet words! Big hugs to you too! 🙂
