Hi everyone, the Ready to Ride suite is such a fun collection. The sample cards in the catalogue are all fabulous and I really want to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) all of them. The card I am sharing today is one of my favourites and I thought it would be fun to make to send to my Dad for his birthday next month. This card would also be great for Father’s Day too.
I started by fussy cutting the images from the Ready to Ride Designer Series Paper. I also trimmed another piece to create part of the background. Next, I took a sheet of Soft Suede cardstock to create my card base. I trimmed another piece to the size of the card front. I ran this piece through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder. I love this texture! It looks so good. The embossed panel was then adhered to the card base.
Next, I stamped the sentiment, from the Legendary Ride, in Pumpkin Pie ink on Pale Papaya cardstock. This piece was then die-cut using the Stylish Shapes die set. I also trimmed a couple of lengths of Burlap Ribbon. The next step was to assemble the card. I used both Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s the card…
I think this is such a great card. While I copied the original faithfully, I did think it might look good using Coastal Cabana instead of the Pale Papaya. What do you think?
