Well, hello, hello! Long time no speak! I guess I dropped off the radar after my reveal I had left Stampin’ Up!®. The truth is that I haven’t stamped or created in any way in MONTHS! I have a list of cards that I need to make but I have had no motivation or inspiration to do any of it. We have been travelling a bit this year and for part of it I was able to take craft supplies with us. When we returned home, I put everything back in the craft room on my tables and closed the door. The idea of going through and organising it was, well, a little overwhelming. I mean, I wasn’t in a huge mess but with the rest of life being the way it was, it just seemed like that was one thing too many. I’m sure some of you can relate. So, I started tackling the organisation this past week. I’ve got a ways to go but I’m still figuring out how I want things to be.
I’m also still figuring out the direction I want to take with Stampers Workshop. My current thought is that I will leave it dedicated to Stampin’ Up!® products as I have a LOT! I’m also thinking that I am going to start sharing projects with retired products as well as newer products. While I appreciate using older, retired products might sometimes frustrate you as a reader if you don’t also have this product, I am hoping that I might inspire those of you who do have these older products to get them out and use them again. There are so many sets I put into boxes when they retired and they haven’t seen the light of day since…but you know what, I LOVE them and I want to use them! I hope the cards will still inspire you in some way – the basic design, the colours used, or maybe you have a similar set you could use in its place. I just want to get back into creating, sharing and really just having fun with this hobby we all love!
Now, you might have seen the title of today’s says “Happy Father’s Day” and you might be wondering why I am sharing this card now even though Father’s Day was back in early September. The truth is I’ve only just made my Dad his card. Oops! I did do the present bit but not the card. I told him it was coming…and it is. It’s only a month late! As I’ve been struggling with motivation I decided to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) the Catalogue and I am thrilled with how it turned out.
I used the Gone Fishing Bundle. I love this Bundle and the coordinating paper too! So fun and so good for masculine cards!
Here’s the card…
I really enjoyed making this card! The dimension is so fun! I die cut the top part five times in white cardstock and then topped it with some Pebbled Path cardstock. Looks so good! I think my Dad is going to love it (which is good since it is so late. haha)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
Listed below are supplies used to create the above project. If the stamp set, die set, etc, also comes as a part of a bundle or suite, I may link to all so that you have choices. I may also link refills and basic supplies like adhesives which correspond with items used to make my projects. These links take you to the Stampin’ Up!® website.
