Hi, yes, I have the Amazing You stamp set and coordinating Celebrate You thinlits out again today. I cannot seem to put these items down. I earned both items for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. YAY! Sale-A-Bration continues so you too could earn them free with a qualifying order. All the details are here.
Now, for this card, I returned to the Joseph’s Coat Technique. I love this technique. I have shared a few cards using this technique in the past. For this particular card, I stamped the floral image on a post-it note and cut it out. I used the negative area as a template for where I would apply the green and pink ink. Next, I stamped the flower in versamark ink over the coloured background and embossed it in clear. I wanted the colour to show through. When this was done I applied Early Espresso over the entire background. I buffed the ink off my embossed images and don’t they just pop against this brown background! Love it!
As the background was quite busy and bold, I needed a sentiment which would hold its own. Die cuts are a great way to add that bit of “pop”. I layered the words a couple of times so they really stood out.
Here’s the card…
It is a pretty bold and busy card but it makes me happy! I hope the recipient will think so too. I also hope you will give this technique a go!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
