Hi, today I am sharing a card which is featured on page 13 of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I love pretty much everything about this card including the awesome technique – Watercolour Resist. I hadn’t done this in such a long time. I thought it might be fun to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) this card and show you a really cool technique in the process.
What is Watercolour Resist?
Quite simply, Watercolour Resist is when you stamp and emboss an image and then paint over the top with watercolour. The embossing resists the colour meaning that it stays the colour of the embossing. It is such a fun and simple technique. If you scroll down you can see a video where I make this card and you can see the technique in action. You can also see how I hide a mistake or two.
The card features the lovely Shaded Summer stamp set. Until the end of September 2021, with a qualifying order, you could get the Summer Shadows die set for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. This die set coordinates with the Shaded Summer stamp set.

It was such fun creating this card, and isn’t it super pretty?! Can you believe how soft and pretty the Shaded Spruce looks when you dilute it with water? I couldn’t! I love this colour! I hope you’ll give the Watercolour Resist technique a try. As you can see, it is really easy but maybe leave yours to dry properly before die-cutting or assembling your card. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
