Hi everyone, today I’m celebrating four years with the love of my life. I like to give him a card to mark these special occasions and thought the new He’s the Man suite would be perfect to make a sweet card. I thought he’d love the colours and since we like to trip around a little the camping motifs and the combi van seemed to represent part of our relationship.
To create the card I made a card base from Early Espresso cardstock and layered a panel of patterned paper from the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. I also trimmed another piece of paper to size and layered it on a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.
For the sentiment, I used the “Together for the Long Haul” stamp from the He’s All That stamp set. I stamped it in Early Espresso ink then coloured it with the Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend and the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker. I also added a little Wink of Stella to the van’s windows. Next, I die cut the image with a die from the All That die set.
I added some Adhesive Sheets to some Early Espresso cardstock and then die-cut the diamond-style piece using another die from the All That die set.
Once everything was finished, I assembled the card. I thought it was lacking one thing. I die cut a heart from patterned paper from the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper using the Hippo dies. Love the shape of these hearts! With this the card was complete!
Here’s the card…
It’s a very simple card that could be replicated quite easily. You could switch up the patterned paper designs, and sentiments and even use some of the pre-printed die cuts which come in the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
