Hi everyone, yesterday I shared a card featuring the Simply Fabulous stamp set as part of the Stampin’ Creative Global Blog Hop. I mentioned that it would be easy to replicate the card and I thought I would do that today, but also step it up a little. I’m loving the bright colours of this card.
The process of making the card is essentially the same as yesterday. I started by stamping one of the leaves, in Granny Apple Green ink, from the Simply Fabulous stamp set four times with their stems meeting in the centre of the cardstock. Next, I inked up a different leaf stamp, also in Granny Apple Green ink, but stamped it off before repeating the process on the card. Finally, I inked up the flower stamp in Polished Pink ink and stamped it on the card four times.
The sentiment, from the Simply Fabulous stamp set, was stamped in Versamark on Basic Gray cardstock. It was then white heat-embossed and die cut using the All That dies.
The card base was made from Coastal Cabana cardstock and embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I added the stamped design to a panel of Polished Pink cardstock. Instead of centring the design, I let it go over the edge and then trimmed off the excess.
The sentiment was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a white bow and a few rhinestones. I also coloured over the pink flowers with some Wink of Stella.
Here’s the card…
This was so fun to make. I love how stepping up the design gives it a whole new look. How would you have stepped up this design? What colours would you use?
