Hi everyone, today I decided to play with the Happy Forest Friends suite. I love the sweet imagery. I also love that you can use some of the patterned paper from the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper to create a stand alone card which is what I did today. This card is CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from the catalogue.
Cut the patterned paper from the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper pack to the size you want and layer on an Old Olive card base. From the second sheet of the same design, fussy cut out the bear and the bird and then pop them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on top of the original design. I also cut out some of the other imagery to add a little more interest to the card.
For the greeting, I chose to use the ‘Thanks’ from the Happier than Happy stamp set. I stamped it in Versamark on Calypso Coral cardstock and then white heat-embossed it. Using the tag die from the Happy Forest die set, I die cut it, then flipped the die around and die cut it again so that it was rectangular in shape rather than the tag shape.
I added some Old Olive ribbon to the card and then layered on the sentiment strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I thought a nice Linen Thread bow would add a little more interest too.
The card was finished with some Wink of Stella and a few scattered Brushed Brass Butterflies.
Here’s the card…
This is such a sweet card but if you want to make it a quick and easy project, you don’t need to pop up any of the images. I just like a little extra dimension.
