Hi everyone, when I sat down at my table to create my card for today I thought I was going to make a Christmas card but then I saw a piece of Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper which I had previously fussy cut and coloured. I love this paper and so I wanted to make it into a card. It’s a very simple design and I think you could easily replicate it in different colourways.
The card base is Pool Party cardstock which was die cut with the Stitched Greenery die (which is a favourite of mine to add subtle texture). I then used a Blending Brush to add a few very light swathes of Old Olive ink. I also added some Old Olive ink to a panel of Basic White cardstock which I die cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies.
I added the Stitched Rectangle panel to the card base. Next, I added the floral piece to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers to give them that little bit of shimmer.
For the sentiment, I stamped the ‘Thank You’ from the Charming Sentiments stamp set on some Basic Grey cardstock. I white heat embossed it before die-cutting it with the Sentiment Silhouettes dies. This was then glued to the card with liquid glue.
Here’s the card…
I love making cards like this! I love colouring the Perfectly Pencilled Designer Series Paper. I even enjoy fussy cutting the designs! I also think you could replicate this design using different colours and different sentiments! So fun!
