Hi everyone, today I am sharing a card that I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from the Annual Catalogue. It all came about because I couldn’t remember the name of the die set which coordinated with the Blessings of Home stamp set. When I looked it up in the catalogue I came across the card I am showing today. I thought it was so pretty and I loved how the dies were the main feature. I’ve made quite a few cards using the Blessing of Home Bundle but most of them feature the main floral image rather than the smaller dies. I loved how this card actually focussed on the smaller accent dies.
It’s a super easy card to create and you could easily whip up a few in different colourways. I chose to stay fairly true to the original design.
I started by creating a card base from Thick Basic White cardstock. After stamping the large floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set on a piece of Subtles 6×6 Designer Series Paper, I then cut it to size and layered it on the card front.
With the Stylish Shapes die set, I die-cut two squares from Basic White cardstock. I trimmed one down so that it layered inside the other. On this smaller piece, I stamped the sentiment, from the Blessings of Home stamp set, in Flirty Flamingo ink. I cut a panel of Granny Apple Green cardstock, adhered it to the card base and then layered the sentiment panel on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Flowers of Home die set has some lovely accent pieces and I die cut two from Basic White cardstock. Next, I coloured them with Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. These pieces were then adhered to the card. I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and finished off the card with some rhinestones. I don’t think these are necessary but I do usually tend to add some bling to my cards.
Here’s the card…
Isn’t it pretty?! I love the gorgeous dies! Are you like me where you focus on the stamps too rather than the dies? Are you inspired to look at the other dies in the Flowers of Home die set a little more closely now? I hope so!
