Hi, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our March 2022 Blog Hop is a Colour Challenge. We were challenged to create a card using Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight. You are also allowed to use Basic Black, Basic White and/or Very Vanilla.
Here’s the Challenge…
Here’s the card…
To be honest, I really struggled with the colour choice at first…and that’s partly why I love these challenges. They get you to think outside of your usual selections. I was looking at the Stampin’ Up!® website and saw a beautiful card by Jacque Williams using the Brilliant Wings dies and similar colours to our challenge. I knew a CASE was in order! Her card is STUNNING! You should check it out too.
I started by cutting three panels of Basic White cardstock to size. I die cut one of the panels using the Brilliant Wings dies to use as a template. I die cut the detailed butterflies from the second sheet and put them aside for later.
With the template I had die-cut, I layered this on top of the third panel and then sponged on Bumblebee and Magenta Madness ink using a Blending Brush. I then trimmed this panel to the size I wanted so that some of the butterflies would hang a little over the edge. Next, I layered this onto a piece of Magenta Madness cardstock before adhering this panel onto a card made from Thick Basic White cardstock.
I added some Liquid Glue to the centre of the detailed butterflies dies and then added them to the card. I love how dimensional it looks. Now, I cannot forget the Misty Moonlight so I used Misty Moonlight ink to stamp the greeting (from the Special Moments stamp set) and trimmed this panel to size. I also use the Light Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends Marker to colour a few of the Pearl Basics Jewels. These were then placed randomly in places over the card. And that is my card! I hope you like it and will give it a go!
Let’s continue on the hop…

Your card is gorgeous Kylie. Might just have to CASE it myself.

Stunning card, Kylie! Such a clever way to show off the colours by sponging the background. Brilliant!
