Hi, welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for our February 2022 Blog Hop is a Sketch Challenge. We were challenged to create a card based on the sketch below.
Here’s the Challenge…
Here’s the card…
This was such a fun challenge because it got me to think out of my usual rectangular card base. I typically grab a piece of A4 cardstock, cut it in half to create two card bases and away I go. It’s been a while since I’ve varied my card size. This is part of the reason I love participating in these Blog Hops. They challenge you to get out of your comfort zone!
I started with a Basic Black card base which is 10.5cm x 10.5cm in size. I layered on two pieces of paper from the All Together Designer Series Paper Pack. Next, I layered a circle die cut from Basic White cardstock using the Layering Circle Dies.
The floral image is from the Blessings of Home stamp set. I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured it with Stampin’ Blends. I really wanted this image to POP against the black and white so picked really bold colours. I then die cut it with the Flowers of Home die set. I popped this up on the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment comes from the Blessings of Home stamp set. I stamped this in Versamark ink before white heat embossing it. I then trimmed it to a very thin strip. This was adhered directly to my floral image. The final touch was, of course, Wink of Stella and some white dots from the Classic Matte Dots pack.
That’s my card for today. So quick and easy! Thanks for taking a look.
Let’s continue on the hop…
