Painted Harvest

by Kylie

Hi! What do you all think of the new stamps and dies in the new Holiday catalogue? There are some amazing products available. The Painted Autumn set was one suite I loved as soon as I saw it.  The Painted Harvest stamp set is gorgeous!! (Remember, it comes as a bundle with the Leaf Punch so you can get both products for a 10% discount!)

Today I am sharing a trio of cards using the Painted Harvest stamp set. They are all super simple but I wanted to show you how these stamps shine! I also wanted to show you that you don’t have to use things in the traditional way – part of the joy in being arty crafty is experimenting with colours and designs. Years ago, I was a kindergarten teacher. I was away from kinder for a few days as I was unwell. I came back and one of the parents said to me, “Kylie, I’m so glad you’re back. The other teacher told my child she couldn’t colour her elephant purple”. My reply, at the time, was, “My goodness, surely Kinder is the perfect time for elephants to be any colour the child can imagine”. Now that I am older, I say, there are no age limits – let your imagination take you wherever it wants, whenever it wants.

For my first card, I was dying to try a blue and gray combination and I *love* the result.  I used a base of Soft Sky ink, followed by Marina Mist and completed it with Smoky Slate centres and leaves.  Very pretty!

For the second card, I was curious as to how the flower might look in shades of green so I tried out Lemon Lime Twist for the base and Old Olive for the second stage.  I finished off the card with the Smoky Slate (I *love* this shade of grey!)

For the last card, I really wanted to try out some reds and Cherry Cobbler and Real Red looked like they would be a perfect combination.  I finished off the card with Sahara Sand.  So pretty!

I added a little bit of Wink of Stella in Clear to the petals (be careful as they ink will move if you aren’t careful!).  I finished the card with a simple sentiment and some rhinestones.  Very easy to do and I love the look.  Just imagine how many different colour combinations you could come up with!?!  So much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping!

Supplies Used:

Listed below are the supplies used to create the above project. If the stamp set comes in different types (such as clear mount or wood mount), I link to them both. At the end, I have also linked to other ‘staple’ items you might need to finish the project (such as adhesive and a paper trimmer).
