Hi everyone, today’s card features the beautiful Bottled Happiness Bundle. The card came about because I realised I hadn’t really made any cards using Orchid Oasis and it is such a pretty colour. I saw the card on page 151 of the Annual Catalogue and thought that would be a great project to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) with Orchid Oasis as the main colour.
After making a card base with Thick Basic White cardstock, I layered on a piece of the Orchid Oasis patterned paper from the 2022-2024 In Color 6×6 Designer Series Paper pack. This is such a pretty shade!
Next, I inked up the leaves and the bottle from the Bottled Happiness stamp set using a Sponge Dauber and Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped this down on Basic White cardstock. Then I inked up the flowers, again using a Sponge Dauber, with a combination of Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather inks.
The bottle was punched out using the Vintage Bottle punch. I tied some white Baker’s Twine around the neck of the bottle and tied it in a bow. I added some Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back as I wanted to pop it up. Before I did this step, I die cut the panel using the border die from the Penned Flowers die set.
The sentiment was also from the Bottled Happiness stamp set. I stamped it in Orchid Oasis ink and then trimmed it to size. The Banners Pick a Punch was the easiest way to create a lovely banner end to the sentiment strip. This was then adhered to the card.
The final touch to the card was some Wink of Stella and some pearls.
Here’s the card…
What I love most about this card is that you could recreate it in so many different colours! The sample in the catalogue features Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight and it is gorgeous! What colours would you choose? Would you go bright or subtle? Let me know in the comments.
