Hi everyone, looking through a Stampin’ Up!® catalogue is one of my favourite things to do. Not only because I love seeing all the fabulous products but because of those beautiful samples. The in-house design team is amazingly talented and I often want to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) everything I see. In past years I’ve CASED a few designs from the catalogues but this year, I am giving myself permission to CASE as many as I like. If you need permission to do the same, here it is. Feel free to follow my lead.
To create this card, I took a sheet of paper from the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper pack and trimmed it to size. Next, I die cut the person, walking pole and mountain from Basic Black cardstock using the Greatest Journey dies. I also die-cut clouds from Basic White cardstock using the same dies.
The sentiment, from the coordinating Greatest Journey stamp set, was stamped in Versamark on Polished Pink cardstock. This was then white heat-embossed and trimmed to size.
The card base was formed from Polished Pink cardstock but since the main design covers the entire front you could use any colour you like such as Thick Basic White.
I used the Coastal Cabana Twine and wrapped it twice around the patterned paper before tying it off. I also loved the idea of tying knots at the end of each length. Gives it a little more interest!
Next, it was time to assemble the card. I adhered everything in place with Seal except for the sentiment which I popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s the card…
One of the things I love most about this card is the gorgeous colours and imagery of the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper – it is stunning! The B Side of this paper is just as gorgeous! Until the end of February 2023, you can actually choose this paper for FREE as part of Sale-A-Bration (with a qualifying order of $90 or more)!
