Hi everyone, welcome to our Creative Prompt for May 2022. I’d love for you to join in and play along.
How to join in…
I’ve created a thread on my Stampers Workshop Facebook page (it is pinned to the top of the page so you can always find it). I’d like to invite anyone who wants to share their take on the challenge to do so in the comments section of that post. You don’t need your own blog, just upload a photograph of your card directly into the comments. Please upload photographs only. Do not link to other blogs or websites. Regrettably, these will be removed. My hope is that these Creative Prompts will inspire and challenge us all to create. I also hope that by sharing we can comment, support and encourage each other. I do hope you’ll join me.
Here’s the Creative Prompt…
I love Creative Prompts like this! I feel a design such as this is simple but it can really pack a punch. I think it is also a great design for showcasing patterned paper – which is what I have done for my card.
I started by using the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut a piece of patterned paper from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper pack. I then trimmed a mat from Melon Mambo cardstock and layered the patterned paper on top. Next, I chose a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to be my card base. The Stitched Greenery die was the perfect choice to add a little texture to the front of the card base. I popped up my main focal panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then added some Wink of Stella to the flowers on this panel.
The sentiment, from the Happiness Abounds stamp set, was stamped in Melon Mambo and then trimmed to size. You could always use a die to add a little more interest. I added a few of the Daffodil Delight dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment pack to finish off the card.
Here’s the card…
If you are inspired by this Creative Prompt please pop over to my Facebook page and share your card in the comment thread. I’ve pinned the prompt at the top of the page so it is easy to find. I respectfully ask that you only post a picture of your card and do not link to external sites. The reason for this is that I can’t monitor the links and ensure they are all suitable for all audiences.
I hope you will play along. I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
