Hi everyone, today I am sharing a card that is so pretty and looks so effective – and which actually took very little time to create! The card features the Flowing Flowers stamp set. Have you seen it? It’s so pretty and it has some really lovely sentiments. I am making a lot of birthday cards at the moment as I decided I wanted to send out a birthday card to everyone who had signed up for our team’s Birthday List. So today’s card is a birthday card but you could easily add any other sentiment.
I’m using the stamp which has both the leaves and the flower from the Flowing Flowers stamp set. I used Sponge Daubers to apply the ink directly to the stamp. The colours I used are Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo. After inking the stamp, I stamped it onto Basic White cardstock and repeated this process until the panel was covered. Next, I die cut the panel using a Stitched Rectangle die. (Keep the offcut as you can cut it up and use it to decorate the inside of your panel).
After the panel was die cut, I mounted it on a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back in readiness to assemble the card. Next, I created a card base from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and then embossed the front with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
I toyed around with a few ideas for what colours to choose for the sentiment and then how to add it to the card. In the end, I stamped in Versamark and silver heat-embossed the greeting. To adhere it to the front of the card, I added just a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue under the thicker lines of embossing so that it couldn’t be seen. I then used some Rhinestones to not only finish off the card but to further anchor the sentiment strip.
Here’s the card…
This card does look so much better in person! It is also one of those cards you could easily replicate and try out different colour combinations too. You could also stamp a whole page of these images and do a One-Sheet Wonder. So fun!
