Hi everyone, recently I participated in the Stampin’ Creative Global Blog Hop. Our theme was Masculine cards. I was, as is the norm, blown away by everyone’s projects. I wanted to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) them all, especially the card by Mikaela Titheridge. Wow! It’s so good. You can see it here. So that’s what I am sharing today – my card inspired by Mikaela’s card.
I started by stamping the elements in Early Espresso ink on Basic White cardstock. I added some colour with the solid stamp – Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody for the beer, and Cherry Cobbler for the wine. After die-cutting these pieces, I covered them in Versamark before clear heat-embossing them.
Next, I created the card base from Garden Green cardstock. I cut another panel slightly smaller and then stamped the beer glass repeatedly over this panel, in Garden Green ink. Isn’t that a cool background?! Before popping it up on the card base I added some Linen Thread and tied it in a bow.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Brewed for You stamp set, on Early Espresso cardstock. I used Versamark so I could white heat-emboss it. This sentiment strip was trimmed so that it lined up with the angle of the circle die cut which was the base of my focal panel. I added the glasses, and some froth to the circle die cut. I used liquid glue for this as my pieces had curled a little during the heat-embossing process. TIP: If this happens to you, place a clear block on top while it dries. It will help keep everything flat.
The main focal panel was popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and I finished the card by adding some pearls which I had coloured with the Deep Stampin’ Blend marker (SU100).
Here’s the card…
This was such a fun card to make and I love how it turned out. Aren’t we lucky to have so many talented people in our industry to inspire us?!

Both your card and Mikaela Titheridge’s are fabulous. My son’s birthday is coming up soon and I’m looking forward to making him a card from this set. I love your design. Enjoy your day!
Thanks so much, Hilda! I’m so glad you like it. I loved Mikaela’s card and I couldn’t help but case it. I hope your son has a happy birthday. I know he will love your card! 🙂
I love your card. Reading tutorial from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
Thank you so much, Diane! 🙂
awwww Kylie, How come I’ve only just seen this?? What a fabulous card and ironic that only today I have recreated this card with a twist and used a Garden Green Card base just like you. So pleased to have inspired you xx
Oh, isn’t that a fun coincidence?! You always inspire me. I want to CASE every card of yours! I’m so glad you liked my version of your card and I cannot wait to see your next iteration of the design.
