Hi everyone, I hope those of you who enjoy celebrating Valentine’s Day are having a lovely day. My partner and I don’t tend to do anything special for Valentine’s Day but I do like to make him a card. I thought I would share it today in case some of you need to make last-minute cards.
For my card, I used the Love You To Pieces stamp set and coordinating Puzzle Pieces die set. I also used a sheet of paper from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. It is such a pretty pack and the designs can be used for many other occasions, not just Valentine’s Day.
The heart in the centre is actually created from two of the Heart Doilies. I covered one of the doilies in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. It looks so good! Unfortunately, it was a little *too* silver for my project so I needed to add something to break it up. I cut out the border of another doily and attached it to the silver one.
I layered a piece of Vellum (embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder) to the panel and then layered the heart doily and the stamped and die-cut puzzle piece.
Here’s the card…
It was a pretty quick and easy to make card and he thought it was pretty good too! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
