Hi everyone, I am sharing another card featuring the Happy Forest Friends suite. It is so sweet! I couldn’t help but use more of the gorgeous patterned paper from the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper to create another cute scene. I really love making scene cards.
To create the card, I layered a piece of patterned paper from the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper pack to cover a Thick Basic White cardstock. Next, I trimmed another panel of Basic White cardstock and trimmed it to the size I wanted. Using a Blending Brush, I sponged on some Balmy Blue and Old Olive ink to create the backdrop of my scene. I adhered this panel to my card base.
Next, I cut up all the images I wanted from the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper pack. I also stamped the bear from the Happier than Happy stamp set using Sahara Sand ink. The first time I stamped this image it looked a little blotchy. TIP: I didn’t really like it so I inked it up again then used a Sponge Dauber and gently pounced it over the ‘blotchy’ areas. It stamped SO much better this time! I die cut the image using dies from the Happy Forest die set. I layered all the pieces together on the card base and popped a couple of the images up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the greeting, I chose the ‘Hello, Baby’ from the Happier than Happy stamp set but since I only wanted the ‘Hello’, I masked off the rest of the image. I stamped it in Versamark on Calypso Coral cardstock and then white heat-embossed it. Using the tag die from the Happy Forest die set, I die cut it, then flipped the die around and die cut it again so that it was rectangular in shape rather than the tag shape.
To finish off the card, I added a few scattered Brushed Brass Butterflies as well as some ribbon to the card before layering on the sentiment strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s the card…
Now for those of you paying close attention, you will realise that my ground on this card is uneven. It’s so annoying! What do you do in a situation like this? I couldn’t lift up the piece without tearing everything so I decided to just go with it. It irks me but I think overall the card is so cute I would hate to throw it out or not share it because of this detail.
