Hi everyone, have you all seen the Kangaroo & Company bundle? It is so cute! Unfortunately, it is only a matter of weeks until it is retired. I thought it was so darling that I couldn’t let it retire without making a couple of cards. The stamp set features imagery and sentiments to suit a number of different occasions. I’ve chosen to make a couple of simple baby cards.
All you need to do to get started is stamp the images on Basic White cardstock and colour them in. I’ve chosen to use Stampin’ Blends but you could use any of your favourite colouring mediums. If you don’t like to colour much at all, you could always stamp the kangaroos on Crumb Cake cardstock, and maybe add some shadows with your Stampin’ Blends or Watercolour Pencils.
Once you have coloured in all your images, take out your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. We are going to die cut all the images using the Kangaroo dies, as well as another panel of Basic White from the Scalloped Contours dies.
To finish up the card, take a piece of coloured cardstock and create a card base. Add a panel of Basic White and another panel of Designer Series Paper, and then layer all your other elements. I then stamped the sentiment but if you are worried you might mess it up then stamp before you add this layer.
Voila! Your card is complete. Let’s take a look…
Here’s the first card…
Here’s the second card…
One fun feature about the Kangaroo & Company bundle is that the die cuts a slit across the pouch of the large kangaroo. This enables you to tuck the joey inside. You can also tuck in the other images – flowers, hearts and presents. If you want to make an interactive card, you can also die-cut another piece that can be attached to these pieces so that when you pull them out of the pouch a sentiment is revealed.
IMPORTANT: The Kangaroo & Company bundle is only available while stocks last and will be retired on 30th June 2021! Now, I usually encourage you to purchase the bundle where possible to take advantage of the awesome 10% discount. I was just checking the website while writing this post and I’m actually going to encourage you to purchase the stamps and dies separately. The bundle price is currently $64.75 whereas the stamp set price is $28.00 and the die set price is $22.00. This means that the cost of both items purchased separately is only $50.00! What a huge saving!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
