Hi everyone, today’s card is based on a design which I have used many times in the past and I think you are going to like it. The card features the beautify Blessings of Home stamp set. It’s actually so simple so let’s get into it!
Start by creating a card base from Basic Black cardstock. Next stamp the main floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set repeatedly over a panel of Basic White cardstock using Black Memento ink. Trim this panel so that it fits onto the card base with a narrow border. Adhere with Stampin’ Seal.
Stamp the smaller floral image, also from the Blessings of Home stamp set, in Black Memento ink on Basic White cardstock. Colour with your preferred colouring medium. I chose Stampin’ Blends. I also added a coat of Wink of Stella to the petals. Next, trim the card panel to size and use the Basic Borders dies to add an interesting design to the bottom of the card panel. Repeat this on some Basic Black cardstock. Add the decorated panel to the Basic Black cardstock and then trim to size. Before adding this panel to the card base, spatter some ink onto the design to give it a little more interest.
For the sentiment, I stamped the greeting with Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock before white heat embossing it. I trimmed it to size and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch was to add a few of the black dots from the Classic Matte Dots pack. Rhinestones would also look good.
Here’s the card…
This card is such a fun design and one that could be used with so many different styles of stamps. If you think the black is too dark, you could switch it out for grey (I use this a lot), or really any colour you like. You could also make the coloured image the same stamp that you used for the background. It will still look fantastic! I do hope you’ll give this design a go!
