Happy Birthday (How Sweet It Is/Happy Birthday Gorgeous)

by Kylie

Hi everyone, my sweet niece recently turned 17 and I wanted to make her a birthday card which was colourful and fun but not childish.  The How Sweet It Is DSP seemed like the perfect choice as I knew she would love the gorgeous colours – they are so bright and happy.  When I sat down to create my mojo got up and walked away.  I’m sure we have all been there.  I wasn’t sure which way to go.  Fortunately, the Stampin’ Up! catalogues are filled with many gorgeous samples and I picked out a design to CASE (Copy and Share Everything).  As I always remind you, you are welcome to CASE ideas but you do need to give credit where it is due.

I didn’t have all of the items/tools the original designer had at her disposal so I had to improvise and I was really happy with how it worked out.  Best of all, my niece was very happy with it too.

Here’s the card…

Those colours!!  I think they are so gorgeous.  I’m going to miss this suite when the catalogue period finishes in early June.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Stamping, Kylie

Easy to see why your niece loved this card. It’s a perfectly happy birthday card!! Those colors are awesome – so darn bright and fun… might have to see if I can get my hands on some of those papers! Hope your mojo was inspired by the making of this card, because I love this design. And that candy jar is (pardon the pun) sweet! Hope all is well with you honeygirl. xoxo

Thank you, my friend! You would work magic with these papers. I know you’d love them. 🙂 The mojo is slowly returning. I have about 15 (no joke, it’s ridiculous) half-finished cards in piles so I just need to make time to actually complete them. Miss you! Hope to catch up soon. 🙂
