Hi everyone, what do you all think about the new Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick range? Super cute, right? I confess I didn’t know where to start when I got both of the bundles as all of the imagery is so dang cute! I wanted to use it all! I decided to start with the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle. Don’t you think the flying chook is the cutest?! Okay, they are all so cute!
To start I stamped and coloured the image with Stampin’ Blends. I then decided I needed to add some more balloons so I stamped the image again twice (but only down to the tail feathers). I ran these images through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
For the sentiment, I decided to use the Happy Birthday die from the Birthday Chick die set. Isn’t it a great font? I used a Blending Brush to pick up some Rococo Rose ink and I added just a soft blend of colour along the edge of some white cardstock. I wanted the sentiment to be a soft graduation of colour from the white down to the stronger pink. I love this look. The banners were die cut from this same softly blended Rococo Rose.
Actually, the new Blending Brushes may just be my new favourite thing – I love how you can use them to create really soft backgrounds as I did here with the background of Pool Party. So soft and pretty!
I finished off the card by adding some Wink of Stella to the balloons, banners and the sentiment.
I’m so happy with how this card turned out! Oh, and if you love that background paper I used – it comes as a FREE gift for new Demonstrators who sign up during Sale-A-Bration. If you are thinking of joining, I’d love it if you signed up with me. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
