Hi everyone, there are a few things I try to teach when it comes to cardmaking. One is to actually use your products. It sounds silly but I know we can all be guilty of buying and not using. Another is to not be afraid to use your products repeatedly. Practice. Experiment. Create the same card but just switch one or two details. It might be the colour combinations or the orientation or even the sentiment. This way you can begin to really discover what works for you. No one is going to know, unless you tell them, that you’ve made multiples of the same card. Amongst other things, I always tell you that CASEing yourself (Copy And Share Everything) is a good way to kick start your mojo when it seems to have vanished.
After making my card for StampingPals, I thought it might be fun to create the same card but pick colours which really POPPED! So that is what I did. This time, I chose Magenta Madness, Mango Melody and Garden Green. They are so vibrant, aren’t they? The stamp set I used is called Art Gallery and the technique is Joseph’s Coat. If you aren’t familiar with this technique, here’s a technique video I made last year. It walks you through the process.
Aren’t those colours gorgeous? I don’t often use Magenta Madness and I don’t know why! It is so pretty! Did you prefer a subtle look or one that has a bigger impact?
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
