Hi everyone, recently my friend Melissa shared a super cute card featuring the Nuts & Bolts stamp set. I loved it so much that I asked if I could CASE (Copy And Share Everything) it. Fortunately for me she agreed. So today, I am sharing my take on her card which you can see here.
I started by creating a card base from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. From this same cardstock, I cut a panel 1cm smaller than the size of the card front. Inking up the robot image (from the Nuts & Bolts stamp set) in Pear Pizzazz ink, I stamped on scrap paper before stamping the image repeatedly over this cardstock panel.
After cleaning the stamp, I inked it up in Tuxedo Black Memento ink then stamped it once on Basic White cardstock. The image was coloured with Pool Party, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. I also added a coating of Wink of Stella. You can see that it blobbed a little around the eye but as it wasn’t too bad I decided to just go with it. If it had blobbed more, I probably would have started over. I decided to ground the robot by stamping the shadow image in Gray Granite but I stamped it off on scrap paper twice before stamping on the finished piece. With the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes die set, I then cut out the robot.
The sentiment, also from the Nuts & Bolts stamp set, was stamped in Versamark on Daffodil Delight cardstock then white heat-embossed. I trimmed it into pieces.
Once I had all the pieces ready I assembled the card and added a few Iridesent Pearls to finish it off.
Here’s the card…
I loved making this card. It was so fun to colour as well especially since it was outside my usual go-to grey! Sometimes it is easy to get stuck in that ‘same old, same old’ rut.
The Nuts & Bolts stamp set will be available in my shop until 30 June 2022 or while supplies last. This stamp set and the rest of the supplies used to make my card can be found in my online store.
