Hi, today I am challenging you to grab a stamp set you’ve never used and create with it. Now, if you HAVE used all your stamps – and I’m SO impressed if you have – pick one which hasn’t had much love. It’s time to use our fabulous stamps!
I picked the Positive Thoughts stamp set and the coordinating Nature’s Thoughts die set. I’ve had this set for a couple of years and I haven’t done anything with it. So, it was time to get those stamps inky. The problem was I didn’t have any ideas for how to use it. I turned to the fabulous Stampin’ Up!® Annual catalogue and straight away I knew what I was going to make. Yes, I was going to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) the gorgeous card featured on page 77.
It is actually a really simple card to make and it is so pretty. I started with one of the card bases from the Hand-Penned Memories & More Cards & Envelopes set. Next, take some Pool Party cardstock and use the panel die from the Nature’s Thoughts die set. I used this again with a piece of Basic White cardstock and then trimmed off the stitched section so that it would fit perfectly within the frame. Doing this makes it so easy to get the right size and you don’t need to bother with measuring, or trying to find another die set that fits exactly.
Next up is the stamping. Take the Crumb Cake ink and stamp the fern leaf from the Positive Thoughts stamp set on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Stamp off this image again on some scrap paper. Depending on how juicy your inkpad is you may need to stamp it off again otherwise stamp directly onto the Basic White panel you just created. (I needed to stamp it off twice otherwise it looked too dark). Stamp the sentiment on a panel of Calypso Coral cardstock.
Get your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine now and die cut the fern, Then die cut three butterflies from Fresh Freesia cardstock. Cut a small length of Pale Papaya ribbon. Now you need to assemble your card. The final touch is to add some of the Fresh Freesia gems from the 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels pack.
Here’s the card…
This was a fun card to make and it was quite quick to pull together too. The best bit is I’ve not only used my previously unloved stamps, but I also have a cute card to send to someone and I had fun! Win, win, win! Let me know how you go with my challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
