Hi everyone, welcome to our Creative Prompt for February 2022. I’d love for you to join in and play along with me.
How to join in…
I’ve created a thread on my Stampers Workshop Facebook page (it is pinned to the top of the page so you can always find it). I’d like to invite anyone who wants to share their take on the challenge to do so in the comments section of that post. You don’t need your own blog, just upload a photograph of your card directly into the comments. Please upload photographs only. Do not link to other blogs or websites. Regrettably, these will be removed. My hope is these Creative Prompts will inspire and challenge us all to create. I also hope that by sharing we can comment, support and encourage each other. I do hope you’ll join me.
Here’s the Creative Prompt…
When I sat down to create a card based on this month’s Creative Prompt I knew immediately that one of the stamps from the stamp set Catch You Later would be the focus of the card. Have you seen it? It has three cute images and 7 different sentiments. I picked out the cute monkey’s to be the main focal image. I stamped them in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured it with Stampin’ Blends. You can see the colours I used down below in the supplies list. Once I had finished colouring the image, I die cut it with the Layering Circle dies and then also die-cut a mat from Early Espresso cardstock.
The card base was created from Early Espresso cardstock. I then layered a panel of patterned paper from the Beauty of Earth Designer Series Paper pack. Next, I cut a panel of Early Espresso patterned paper (from the Neutrals 6×6 Designer Series Paper pack). Before layering this onto the card base, I added some Linen Thread. I adhered everything in place then added the main focal element which I popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added a bow tied with the Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
To finish the card, I masked the “From Us” part of the “Happy Birthday” sentiment and inked it with Versamark. I then white heat embossed the greeting. I trimmed it to size and popped this up on the card.
Here’s the card…
If you are inspired by this Creative Prompt please pop on over to my Facebook page and share your card in the comment thread. I’ve pinned the prompt at the top of the page so it is easy to find. I respectfully ask that you only post a picture of your card and do not link to external sites. The reason for this is that I can’t monitor the links and ensure they are all suitable for all audiences.
I hope you will play along. I cannot wait to see what you all come up with!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
