Hi everyone, as I mentioned in my Welcome to July 2021 post, I really loved playing along with the StampingPals challenges so when they went on hiatus I was a little sad. I have found challenges are a great way to think outside my usual way of doing things and so I’ve decided to keep the fun alive with Creative Prompts. Each month I am going to share a Creative Prompt and I’d love for you to play along with me.
How to join in…
I’ve created a thread on my Stampers Workshop Facebook page (it is pinned to the top of the page so you can always find it). I’d like to invite anyone who wants to share their take on the challenge to do so in the comments section of that post. You don’t need your own blog, just upload a photograph of your card directly into the comments. Please upload photographs only. Do not link to other blogs or websites. Regrettably, these will be removed. My hope is that these prompts will inspire and challenge us all to create. I also hope that by sharing we can comment, support and encourage each other. I do hope you’ll join me.
Here’s the first Creative Prompt…
The first thing I thought when I saw this sketch was that it would be a perfect way to use Designer Series Paper. Patterned paper is so beautiful – we want to use it and not hoard it. The Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP seemed like it would be perfect with the brick wall paper and the gorgeous foliage and pot plants. So that’s where I started! What I love about this paper is that you can also cut out the elements and make them a focal point of any card design – and that is what I did. The only stamping is in the form of the sentiment which comes from the Best Year stamp set.
