Hi everyone, following on from my post yesterday regarding the Pool Party & Soft Sea Form Cards & Envelopes I have a couple more cards to share with you. If you wanted to make the following cards and you missed out on picking up the Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes, don’t worry, you can always use regular cardstock. For more interest try using an Embossing Folder or the Stitched Greenery die.
I started by using a flower stamp from the Wonderful World Bundle (which is another Sale-A-Bration offering). I coloured directly on the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers. It won’t hurt the markers to do this. Always “huff” on the inked up stamp before you stamp it. The warm moisture from your breath helps to ‘reactivate’ the ink. Also, if you are worried that you might not get a perfect image, you could place your stamp in your Stamparatus so you can double-stamp if necessary.
Once you’ve stamped your image, use the border die from the Penned Flowers die set to cut it out. (Keep the off-cuts as you might be able to use them for other projects). Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and then pop it up on your card base.
Next, stamp your sentiment from the Simply Fabulous stamp set on Gray Granite cardstock. White heat emboss then cut the sentiment to size. Adhere this so that it partially hanging off the edge of your stamped panel.
To finish off my cards, I added a bow using white Baker’s Twine. I also added some Wink of Stella to the flower. Be careful when adding the Wink of Stella as it can cause the ink to move and bleed. Use a very light hand. The card was finished by adding a few of the Opal Rounds.
