Create a fun interactive card with the Adorable Owls stamp set

Hi everyone, I am sharing a card I have wanted to make since I first laid eyes on the Adorable Owls stamp set in the current Sale-A-Bration promotion. I purchased a pack of Action Wobbles (not a Stampin’ Up!® product) to make it happen!

I started by taking die-cutting a piece of Post-It Note with the Layering Circles dies. I then placed this in position on a panel of Basic White cardstock. Starting with Starry Sky ink and following with Night of Navy ink, I used a Blending Brush to cover the entire background. After removing the Post-It Note, I spritzed some water to give a bit of an impression of a night sky. For the moon, I added just a little bit of Daffodil Delight ink and Smoky Slate ink around the edges. I then used a Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends marker to add more interest which was then softened with the Colour Lifter.

I die-cut the clouds using the Basic Borders die set. I cut it three times and then layered them on my sky panel. After trimming off any overhanging pieces, I adhered this directly to a Night of Navy card base.

Next, I stamped the flying owl from the Adorable Owls stamp set on some Basic White cardstock and coloured it with Smoky Slate, Gray Granite and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. Once again, I used the Colour Lifter to soften the colouring. I cut it out with Paper Snips and put it aside.

The next step was to stamp the sentiment, also from the Adorable Owls stamp set, in Versamark on Polished Pink cardstock. This was then white heat-embossed and die-cut using dies from the Playful Piggy dies. I also die-cut some hearts (after I had adhered the Adhesive Sheets to the back) from the Conversation Bubbles dies.

All that was left was to finish assembling the card. The sentiment was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the owl adhered with a wonderful Action Wobbles. I also added some Wink of Stella to the owl and the hearts because they needed that extra bit of shimmer.
