Hi everyone, one of my favourite Christmas bundles in the July to December 2021 Mini Catalogue is the Merriest Moments bundle. I was immediately blown away by the samples and wanted to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) at least two of them. Today I am sharing one of these cards which I have changed in only a couple of ways.
To start, create a card base out of Pear Pizzazz cardstock and stamp the leaves from the Merriest Moments stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped the leaves so that it looked like they were poking out from behind the main panel. Put this aside for now.
Stamp the two poinsettia parts in three different colours. I used So Saffron, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo (which I had stamped off once). Also add some Crumb Cake ink to the centre of the top flower. You could instead Gold heat-emboss this if you prefer. Stamp the other style of leaf in Just Jade. Die cut all the pieces using the Merriest Frames dies.
The sentiment, in the sample, was stamped in Crumb Cake to tie in with the centres of the flowers. I decided it just didn’t have enough sparkle for me so I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and then Gold heat embossed it. It looks so pretty! I then trimmed this panel to size. In the sample, the designer added some of the Gold Simply Elegant Trim to the top and bottom of the panel. I thought the gold would look nice but I didn’t have enough Gold cardstock so I improvised. I love this technique. Simply cut a panel of Basic White cardstock to the size you want. Dab the Versamark inkpad along the edge before adding your Gold embossing powder. Heat the embossing powder and then layer the sentiment strip on the top.
All that was left was to assemble the card. I popped up the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and it looks so pretty. You could also add some sort of bling like they did in the sample but I left mine plain.

The card is actually pretty simple to create and I think it does have that WOW factor! I cannot wait to make some more.
